KIKEH FPSO

SD was given the complex task to rescue the top side piping job. Few engineers had fabricated the systems with changes made on onsite without updating the drawings. This lead to a huge confusion in the project and SD was called in to rescue this job. A lot of areas like Bilge systems, Sewage systems, Sea water service, Steam condenser lines were inconsistent with the drawings. 

Project Name : KIKEH FPSO

Scope of Work : Visit the site and draw hand sketches of the various fabricated lines, and incorporate it into the master reference drawings and suggest changes. 

Challenges

Time consuming and tedious job to sketch each line accurately
Short time to understand the system, whole deliveries were supposed to happen in 2 months
Detail the sketched part and ensuring that each details is captured in the reference drawing      was a tough job

How we overcame those challenges

Our Piping head traveled onsite and put a onsite team in place
Split the teams into two – One which would go onsite and mark the inconsistencies and the  
other, which would incorporate these changes and check for consistencies. 
This enabled us the finish work at a faster rate and match our client expectations.
